CASology #308 Clouds

Hello There!

The next challenge at CASology is taking you us into the clouds….

Here’s my card

To make this card I first softly ink blended my card front with distress ink and then adhered the die cut clouds. I adhered some of the clouds directly on the card front with glue and some with foam tape for dimension and interest. I then stamped this adorable griffin from one of the lawn fawn stamp sets on Neenah Solor white card stock (a copic friendly paper) with the memento tuxedo black ink (copic friendly ink) and then colored the image with my copics before i fussy cut the image and adhered it on the card. I finished the card by adding the sentiment and mating it on to a back card base.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.

CASology #307 Zoom

Hello There!

It’s time for the next challenge at CASology and the cue word is ‘ZOOM’

Here’s my take

Well I wanted to create an illusion of zooming into a scene through a binoculars, probably because i have been watching too many cop/spy movies while crafting these days. LOL!!! Its funny where one finds inspiration from. I find myself watching netflix or amazon videos or listening to music or an audio book while crafting. What about you. Do you have something playing or like silence while you are crafting? Where do you find your inspiration? Please do share in the comments if you feel like.

Ok, back to the card now. To make this card I first created two overlapping circular windows in a black cardstock. I then white heat embossed the sentiment. Once the frame was ready, i aligned the stamps in such a way that the scene fit inside the window. I stamped the images with versafine onyx black ink and colored with water colors on a white water color paper. I then adhered the black frame on the white colored cardstock.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.

To make this card i first stamped the images of a pig and the fence from the Hog Heaven stamp set by My Favorite things with Memento Black ink on Neenah Solar white paper (both are copic friendly) and colored with copic makers.  Then I inked a little blue and green using distress oxide inks on a white card stock before I stamped the sentiment. Finally I adhered the images with foam tape to give a little dimension.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.

CASology #300 Copper

Hello There!

The next Challenge at CASology is up this week and the cue word is Marine.

Week 300 - Copper

Here’s my Take

I used Novu paste with a stencil for the elegant design. I off set the stencil before applying the paste.

unnamed

Nuvo pastes help add dimension, sparkle and interest to the clean and simple card, with out adding bulk. Its a nice way to preserve white space as well.

My card is dedicated to Kymona Tracey  who is an amazing crafter and a CAS queen. Hence the sentiment “you are amazing”.

So get crafting to spread some smiles around. Just remember to keep it CAS. Can’t wait to see your creative take on this cue word.
