CASology #Compliment

Hi There

Thank you for joining me for this week’s challenge at CASology!

The cue word is Compliment

Here’s my take

For this card I heat embossed the card using different embossing powders.

I hope my card inspires you to join us at CASology and gets you to crafting. Do  play along with us, just remember to keep it CAS. The following CAS guidelines should be of help when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Please check out the awesome CAS cards that the talented design team members and lovely guest designer made to inspire you:

CASology #Arithmetic

Hi There

Thank you for joining me for this week’s challenge at CASology!

The cue word is Arithmetic. Interesting isn’t it!

I made a retirement card for a senior at work. Here’s my take

VDOGE2310

I love try out different medium, techniques and products. I guess all crafters are. Sometimes i wonder if the love for the products gets my mojo going. Does this happen to you. Do you make cards just to use / try some new products. I recently bought black embossing paste and i had to immediately use it, before i could break a rash or something. Lol!

TRLRE0384

To make this card I applied the embossing paste on the card using a stencil by Tim Holtz. The texture and dimension of the embossing paste add such lovely interest. I then added the strip of black card stock with the sentiment heat embossed in white. This sentiment is by Mudra Stamps. I love the font on the sentiment.

CASology – Scary

Hi There!

It’s the time of the year when Halloween is celebrated in many countries around the world. The next cue word for the challenge at CASology is – ‘SCARY’.

We don’t celebrate Halloween in India, but my son and i wanna try carving a pumpkin this year just for fun.

Here’s my card

This one was very simple once i stamped and colored the pumpkin.  Initially i was thinking of having the pumpkin on a white card front with inked background. Later i changed my mind looking how well the colored pumpkin pops on a black background.

I hope my card inspires you to join us at CASology and gets you to crafting. Do  play along with us, just remember to keep it CAS. The following CAS guidelines should be of help when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered

  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

CASology #Punctuation

Hello There!

Thank you for joining me for the next CASology challenge. The next cue word is “punctuation”. We are expecting some super interesting takes n designs in our gallery

Here’s my card

To make this card I first inked the edge with distress inks n a stencil

I have fallen in love with using big bold sentiments, especially on a CAS design. This bold “yes you can!” stamp is by Simon say Stamp. I felt that the exclamation mark is perfect for the cue word this week. So I stamped it with black ink. Finally, i adhered the card front to a black card base.

I then added a strip of patterned paper on the edge for added interest.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.

CASology #314 Gratitute

Hello There!

Thank you for joining me for the next CASology challenge. This beautiful quote i read a couple years ago really changed how i looked at my life and conducted it:

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around”

Week 315 - Gratitude

“The more you are thankful, the more you attract things to be thankful for”

Here’s my card

IMG_E4546.JPG

I saw many card makers using big bold sentiments, especially on a CAS design and i was really inspired to try it myself. This big “Thank you” stamp is by Altnew Stamps. I colored it using copic markers and fussy cut the sentiment. I added a coat of glossy accents on the colored image for dimension and interest. It looks so cool. It’s a shame i was not able to capture the same on camera. Before, I adhered the sentiment with dimensional foam squares, i tucked in a bunch of water colored flowers. Finally, i adhered the card front to a black card base.

AAACards #125 Inspired by TV

Hello There!!

Happy Sunday! Welcome to another wonderful challenge at AAACards. This one got to be an entertaining one! – ‘Inspired by a TV Show’

imagine.jpg

I was inspired by the TV show Star Trek and Big Bang. Here’s my take –

Bharati nayudu, CAS Cards, AAACards, spock.jpg

This card is extra extra special because i made it with goodies gifted to me by my dear friend and supremely talented Maakie. She blogs at cardsbymaaike , check her site and You Tube channel for tons of inspiration.

IMG_20180923_185806_Bokeh__01To make this card I first colored the image with copics markers (alcohol markers)  I then fussy cut the image with a scissors. I then used a stencil with abstract geometric patterns and nuvo glimmer paste to create a background in the corner of the card. Its always easy to make a CAS card by having the elements in one corner to maximize all the empty space.

To finish the card i adhered the sentiment that was heat embossed in white on a black card stock stripe.

I then adhered the colored image just on top of the sentiment with foam tape for dimension.
