So Thankful

Sharing a card that I made inspired by the sketch at CASE this sketch Challenge. The sentiment is inspired by Just us girls Challenge. I have used many Crafting trends like smooshing with distress oxide inks, emboss resist, gold thread and sequins to play along with the trends Challenge at inkspirational.

To make this card I first heat embossed with white on a water color card stock. The stampset is from simon says stamp, it’s called “look for the miracles”.

To match the design on the sketch I used   ink squooshing technique with distress oxide inks. The emboss resist technique works so well with these inks.

I then added golden thread and sequins before sticking the white heat embossed ‘Thank you’ sentiment on a black card stock with foam squares for dimension. I loved the small detail near the sentiment on the sketch and added one on mine too.

To match the variety of white foliage in the sketch, I added white die cut leaves. I wanted these new additional leaves to be different than the ones already embossed in texture and shape.  I love how the additional leaves tied in with the card.

To finish the card, I stuck my card panel on to a black card base that is slightly bigger so that it will provide a border to the white card front.

I had a great time playing along with the challenges and making this card.

Hope you like it. Do let me know what you think about it in the comments section.

Thanks for dropping by.
