Welcome to a new challenge at AAA Cards. The CAS game #137 at AAACards challenge is going to be super fun and exciting. A CAS card can be made very quickly once you have worked out the the card design and have the supplies on your desk, Isn’t It?
Our DT Member Lucie
has come up with this challenge to make a CAS card in minutes. She is an extremely talented Card maker and do check out her blog www.luciegcards.com
for some amazing inspiration.
Coming to the challenge, its very simple. First plan your card and gather your supplies. Then see if you can create it in minutes – under 15 would be great, but no more than 30.
The optional twist is dry emboss on the card. Dry embossing is both quick and subtle which is perfect for CAS cards. The idea is that with time at a premium your card should be simple enough to create quickly.
Remember the S in CAS means SIMPLE!
Here’s My take :
I played along with the optional twist as well got my embossing folder out. Embossing folders are very easy to use, quick in results, effective for adding texture and come at a good price point.
To make this card i first got the supplies out on my table, which are – a white card panel, embossing folder, die machine and plates, stamp set by Heffy Doodle, black ink, acrylic block, distress ink, make-up brush, Strip of black & white pattern paper, card base, corner punch and tacky tape.
I first dry embossed the card panel and then inked the raised areas softly with dress ink using an old makeup brush. I also added the black and white strip on the side and rounded the corners with a punch.
I then stamped the sentiment and the image with a black ink and adhered the panel to a card base. I think i took around 10 to 12 mins to make this card.
I hope my cards inspires you to play along AAA Cards challenge and gets you crafting to make some handmade happiness for your loved ones. Just remember to keep is Clean and Simple – CAS.
