CASology #308 Clouds

Hello There!

The next challenge at CASology is taking you us into the clouds….

Here’s my card

To make this card I first softly ink blended my card front with distress ink and then adhered the die cut clouds. I adhered some of the clouds directly on the card front with glue and some with foam tape for dimension and interest. I then stamped this adorable griffin from one of the lawn fawn stamp sets on Neenah Solor white card stock (a copic friendly paper) with the memento tuxedo black ink (copic friendly ink) and then colored the image with my copics before i fussy cut the image and adhered it on the card. I finished the card by adding the sentiment and mating it on to a back card base.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.

AAA Cards Christmas in July

Hello There!

Happy Sunday and i am so glad your joining me today for the next AAA Cards Challenge!

The theme this time is “Christmas in July”

IMG_1685.PNG

Here ‘s my take:

bharati nayudu winne and walter christmas card

For my card I first stamped this adorable image of owls from Happy Owlidays stampset by Winnie & Walter on to nenah solar white paper with black memento ink and colored with copics in red and green for the Christmas . I added a few highlights with the white gel pen before fussy cutting the cute couple.

ciwg3595a.jpgI then stamped the branch and the Christmas ornaments along with the punny Holiday wishes from the same set on the card front and colored with copics before i adhered the image of the owls with foam tape for dimension.

As a finishing touch i inked a stripe of cardstock with red distress ink and adhered on the left side of the card. Just a lil something to add to the design.

I really love how cute the owls look propped up on the branch and how the ornaments hang.

I hope my cards inspires you to play along AAA Cards challenge and gets you crafting to make some handmade happiness for your loved ones. Just remember to KEEP IT CAS (Clean And Simple).

CASology #307 Zoom

Hello There!

It’s time for the next challenge at CASology and the cue word is ‘ZOOM’

Here’s my take

Well I wanted to create an illusion of zooming into a scene through a binoculars, probably because i have been watching too many cop/spy movies while crafting these days. LOL!!! Its funny where one finds inspiration from. I find myself watching netflix or amazon videos or listening to music or an audio book while crafting. What about you. Do you have something playing or like silence while you are crafting? Where do you find your inspiration? Please do share in the comments if you feel like.

Ok, back to the card now. To make this card I first created two overlapping circular windows in a black cardstock. I then white heat embossed the sentiment. Once the frame was ready, i aligned the stamps in such a way that the scene fit inside the window. I stamped the images with versafine onyx black ink and colored with water colors on a white water color paper. I then adhered the black frame on the white colored cardstock.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.

Ombré floral emboss resist card

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a simple and fun card that involves emboss resist.

For this card I first arranged the tiny floral stamps on to my Misti. I then stamped the images with versamark ink and white heat embossed the panel. I then added distress inks on top to give a smooth gradient of warm colours. To finish the card I adhered the sentiment which is a word die cut.

I am playing along with time out challenge with the warm colours n inkspirational challenge with the small stamps.

I hope you liked this card. Do let me know what you think about it.

Floral card with small stamps-emboss resist

Hello There!

So glad you are joining me as I share a floral card made of small stamps.

For this card I first did water color stamping withdistess inks and clear heat embossed to lock the colours and then inked the card panel with distress inks in shades of blue. Once the panel was ready I cut it and mated it as per my card design. I add the word die cut for sentiment to finish the card.

I am so happy with the texture and colours on this card. I hope you liked it too.

This card is inspired by the challenge at inkspirational challenge where the challenge is to use small stamps.

That’s all for now. Have a great day and do let me know what you think about the card. I appreciate and love reading your comments.

Happy crafting & Hugs

CASology #306 Bear

Hello There!

Let’s jump right in to the next challenge, where the cue word is Bear

Now we all have multiple bear stamps and sentiments… don’t we. This is a great opportunity to use them.

Here’s my take:

square3For this card I colored the bear image from critter costume party stampset with Copic markers and die cut it with coordinating dies. Then on my card front I had first used a stencil to ink the rays. I then adhered the colored image and sentiment to finish the card.

Faux stained glass flower

Hello There!

I am really excited to share a card that I made following the tutorial by the amazingly awesome Jennifer McGuire. I am always in complete awe of the ways she comes up with various fabulous techniques. Simply Hats Off to her.

So here ‘s my card:

PUVW4893I really love the super glossy look that’s achieved from using glossy accents and double embossing. I used warm colors and golden embossing for a happy and bright card.

VFFX6683.JPGI gifted this card to my parents and they are using this as a fridge magnet since its quite sturdy.

USAX4595I hope you liked my take on Jennifer’s tutorial and I strongly recommend you to try this technique as its just amazing.
