I am so happy you are joining me today! Today i am sharing a fall card with floral and leaves theme.
I actually love quilling in addition to stamping. So these stamps by Newton’s Nook with quilled flowers is like having best of both worlds!! Lol!
To make this card, i first inked a white card stock with distress inks in fall colors using the leaves stencil by Newton’s Nook. After the distress inks dried completely, keeping the stencil in the same position I then covered the inked area with versamark (transparent) ink. I removed the stencil and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to lock the fall colors on the leaves. I then inked the panel with green distress ink. The whole panel popped with wonderful vibrant fall colors and i loved the results so much. I also stamped the quilled flowers & leaves and colored them with alcohol markers. I fussy cut the images and added finishing touches with Nuvo glitter drops.
Once all the elements were ready i assembled my card. The i adhered the flowers such that they have some dimension since i wish to hand the card to the recipient myself.
I hope you liked my card. Do let me know how you like it in the comments. I really appreciate them and love reading them.
I am playing along with a couple of challenges:
Inky paws challenge : The colors are inspired by the Inky paws color challenge #82 and actually the card design is inspired by an older sketch by the same challenge.
Patties creations challenge: # 151 – Autumn Theme
Have a great day!
Happy Crafting & Hugs!
