IMG_6745.PNG

I am back with the next challenge theme at Pattie’s Creations Challenge, which is a theme based monthly challenge starting on 1st friday of every month with many wonderful prizes and  showcases.

The theme for Decemeber 2019 is  – “Winter / Christmas”

Just perfect for this festive season

Here’s my card using the “Pattieboop and Allie waiting for Santa ” .

1.JPG

IMG_6744.JPGIn my last blog post I had introduced you to Pattieboop. Today, i introduce you to her favorite pet named Allie.  cat and loves playing and spending time with Pattieboop. Allie spends most of her days napping and her nights are spent getting in to mischief… Allie loves to act with Pattieboop and you will see them in some very funny situations.

2.JPG

For this card, I first Colored the adorable image of Pattieboop and Allie with copic markers. I enjoyed coloring the Christmas tree and dressing it up with nuvo drops in red. To give a wooden texture to the window frame i added some curvy lines and fussy cut the window frame. I folded and opened both the window doors.  I then added some snow with the snow pen and heat set it. To finish the card i adhered the colored image to a pattern paper with winter scene.

I love the dimension the folded doors of the window, the nuvo drops and the snow provide to this card. I had so much fun making this.

I hope my card inspires you to playing with us and share your lovely birthday cards. REMEMBER, if you use one of Pattie’s images you get an extra entry to the challenge… Just make sure to please give her the credit for the images. Have Fun!!!

Forever Grateful

Hi There!

I am thankful for a lot of things in my life, my parents, loving sis, caring husband, family, friends and most of all our super adorable son. I am truly blessed to have a stable job and to have found my calling i.e. crafting  – Handmade Happiness.

But every once in a while life throws a curve ball and you got to deal with it. Recently, I had such a situation and thanks to a very loving friend, whom i absolutely admire, i could hit this curve ball right out of the park! I knew fell down hard, but thanks to my dear friend, i got myself up feeling more powerful and beautiful from within. Thank you dear friend and this card is especially for you. I am forever Grateful to you and our friendship.

Here’s To make this card i first stamped and colored the center cut floral stamp by Simon Say stamp. After fussy cutting the image, I then covered the colored portion with glossy accents for added texture and dimension.

Once the focal image was ready, before adhering it with foam squares i stencilled the background in soft grey color.

IMG_7325.JPG

I then added the strip of black fish cut card stock with the sentiment heat embossed in white.

Finally to finish the card, i adhered the card onto a grey card base and added clear sequin.

I enjoyed making this card, as i was filled with an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness towards my friend and all the while i was making this card, i was only thinking about her. Using the colors i thought she would like, enjoying the whole experience of making something from my heart for a loved one.

I share my story, mostly to encourage/inspire anyone who is reading this, not to shy away from seeking help of friends. Not to suffer or deal with the life alone. It’s surprising how a chat / drive with a friend, can make life more wonderful.

I love reading your comments and greatly appreciate your time on my blog. Do let me know your thoughts.

I am playing with a couple of challenges with this card:

Pattie’s Creations Challenge # Birthday

Hello There!

IMG_6745.PNG

I am so excited to share my great news of joining the Design Team of Pattie’s Creations Challenge. This a theme based challenge with many wonderful prizes and  showcases.  Pattie Gomez, the challenge coordinator is an amazing illustrator as well as designer who has a range of digital stamps to offer. I am so happy to join her and the talented design team at Pattie’s creations. Thank you ladies for having me on board.

The Theme for November 2018 is – “BIRTHDAY”

Here’s my card using the “Pattieboop Original Stamp” . Well i wanted to start with this classic Pattie boop image as i just fell in love with her the moment i saw her. Let me introduce to you Pattie boop, if you haven’t met her yet.

1

IMG_6744.JPGPattieboop is an 11 year old girl who is very opinionated. She was created by Pattie Gomez on September 7, 2009. Pattieboop is an average 11 year old and she loves dressing up. She is very petite in nature but stands tall because her mother always told her that “If you stand tall you will one day become someone important”. Pattieboop always remembers her mother’s words and makes sure she is noticed.

2.JPG

Pattieboop has a favorite pet named Allie. Allie is a slender black cat and loves playing and spending time with Pattieboop. Allie spends most of her days napping and her nights are spent getting in to mischief… Allie loves to act with Pattieboop and you will see them in some very funny situations.

3.JPG

For this card, I first Colored the adorable Pattieboop with copic markers and fussy cut her. Her hands where behind and to make her look even more adorable, i gave her two  inked die cut balloons to hold for the Birthday Party. Then i adhered the images and the Happy Birthday die cut sentiment on a vellum sheet. I later adhered the vellum on to a patter paper that had colorful sentiment all over. Vellum works great to subtly cover the background to allow focus on the focal image.

4.JPG

I hope my card inspires you to playing with us and share your lovely birthday cards. REMEMBER, if you use one of Pattie’s images you get an extra entry to the challenge… Just make sure to please give her the credit for the images. Have Fun!!!

AAACards #126 Moonlight

Hello There!!

Happy Sunday! Welcome to another wonderful challenge at AAACards.

moon.jpg

Here’s my take –

To make this card I first masked the card front leaving the circular area exposed and inked it with distress inks. I then added the moon and splatter of stars with white copic paint.

I then adhered the cute ghost that i had stamped, colored and fussy cut. This cute ghost is from a stamp set by MFT and i added the sentiment from the same set.

I adhered the ghost with foam squares to make it appear to be floating in the night sky.

I hope my cards inspires you to play along AAA Cards challenge and gets you crafting to make some handmade happiness for your loved ones. Just remember to keep is Clean and Simple – CAS.

Guest designing @ Words to craft by challenge

Hi there!

So happy you are joining me as I share my guest design for the Words to Craft By challenge. Many thanks to Sybrina and the DT members at Words to Craft by for having me over.

What an amazing quote for inspiration:

Listen!
The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings,
now for October eves.

To make this card I inked the panel using a stencil by newton’s nook and distress inks.

I then tied a bow to the inked panel before adhering it to a card base.

For sentiment I used the thankful word die by Simon Says Stamp . I die cut the word in golden n the shadow in black. To finish the card I added a few sequin.

I hope my card inspires you to play along this wonderful challenge at ‘Words to craft by’. Join us and share your take!

Do tell me what you think about my card in the comments section. I love to read your views and highly appreciate them.

I am also playing along with the following challenges:

CASology #Punctuation

Hello There!

Thank you for joining me for the next CASology challenge. The next cue word is “punctuation”. We are expecting some super interesting takes n designs in our gallery

Here’s my card

To make this card I first inked the edge with distress inks n a stencil

I have fallen in love with using big bold sentiments, especially on a CAS design. This bold “yes you can!” stamp is by Simon say Stamp. I felt that the exclamation mark is perfect for the cue word this week. So I stamped it with black ink. Finally, i adhered the card front to a black card base.

I then added a strip of patterned paper on the edge for added interest.

I hope my card inspires you to get crafting and play along with us at  CASology . Just remember to keep it CAS by following the guidelines on the CASology blog.
