Hello There !
Today I am sharing a one layer clean and simple style card that is very easy to make and can be used for Valentine’s day as well as for all other occasions.
I have mentioned earlier that i like to craft / color on the go, its mostly because I am hard pressed for crafting time and more so because I would rather craft than do anything else. So I carry a small pouch with my zig real brush markers, water brushes, pre-stamped card fronts, a few tissues, a white & a black pen and I am all good to go. I stamp and emboss some of my card panels and that makes it coloring more fun and easy.
The best thing about this way is that, it helps me focus and make best out of the limited supplies in hand and enjoying the coloring process.
Coloring on the go has also made me more patient in handling any kinda waiting time or service delays. After all everyone is trying to do their best.
This adorable hedgehog by Penny Black Stamps was colored on the go and later turned into an one layer card that are postal friendly. I love how the sentiment lots of love goes so well with the many hearts in the cart.
I am entering this card into a few challenges :
- Less is More # 363 One Layer card – Cute : This adorable and cute hedgehog on a one layer CAS card fits the bill
- Penny Black Saturday Challenge # January – Anything Goes : This adorable hedgehog is by Penny Black Stamps from the stamp set ‘Critters in Love’
Hope you like this card. I really appreciate your valuable comments and the time you take out to visit my blog. Thank you.
Lots of love to you!
Made this Clean n simple card inspired by the movie Monsters.inc for the AAACard Challenge #101 – inspired by a film challenge and less is more #351 – Monsters challenge.
The ink splotches are my tribute to the month of Inktober!
To make this card i first stamped the cute monster image from Crazy Monsters Stampset by Mudra Stamps on copic friendly paper and ink to color with copic markers. After fussy cutting the colored image, i adhered a googly eye for dimension and added fun. Once the image was ready, I stenciled an ink splotch with distress ink after heat embossing the sentiment in black. Then all there was left to finish the card was to adhere my monster image on the card before mounting the panel on a black card base.
Thanks so much for dropping by and do let me know what you think about this one in the comments
Monster Hugs and Happy Inktober!
This is my first monster card and I loved making it along with my son.
I am Playing along with a couple of challenges with this card:
- The sketch is based on Freshly made Sketches Challenge #309
- The colors are based on cas color and sketch challenge #245
- The monster theme is inspired by the Less is more challenge #351
For this card we used the monster stampset by Mudra stamps. We first stamped our fav monsters on neenah solar white card stock with memento black ink and then colored those adorable monsters with copic markers.
The red one was colored by my son and the other two were colored by me. Then came the fun part of sticking the googly eyes on the monsters which adds so much interest. I used the image colored by my son to decorate my craft table (its a cute reminder of the fun we had together).
Then i took a white card stock and embossed it with an embossing folder. I also white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of navy card stock.
To finish the card i stuck all the elements in place using foam tape for dimension.
I had lots of fun creating this card, especially because i did it along with my son. Crafting with kids is always fun.
I am linking this card to other challenges as well:
Thanks so much for dropping by, hope you liked the card.
Have a great day
Hi, Today i am sharing a card that i made on the go. I have always loved to craft/ color on the go. Helps me crave less for crafting time and the challenge to color or craft with limited supplies is fun! I especially like to color in a cafe. There is something about the combination of coloring and fresh brewed coffee that is wonderfully refreshing.. Also there are so many treats around to instantly reward myself for finishing a card or maybe even an image…. Lol
This one layer card was created on the go, in a cafe. I stamped the penny black ” Cupcake for you” stamp on water color card stock with versafine onyx black ink and colored it using Zig Real Brush Markers. I only colored the image and left the rest of the card very simple to achieve a CAS – One lay Card.
I am done with my card and as a reward – It’s time for Cake!
Entering this card into :
CAS on Sunday – # 116 Color me pretty use
I tried doing brush strokes for the first time..
I made this card for a crafty friend of mine whose work I simply adore. I am not giving away the name as I want it to be a surprise for her. Hope she likes it.
Playing along with less is more challenge #344 – colors Royal Blue and Lime green
Hope you liked my CAS card and do let me know what you think about it
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day
Today I am sharing a card that I made using a makeup brush for ink blending. I normally struggle with soft ink blending n fading it to the white. But I really like the results with the makeup brushes and it is very easy as well. Also, these makeup brushes are very cheap compared to the clarity brushes that have been on my wish list since the first time I saw those.
I am playing along with two challenges with this card:
The CASology challenge the cue card is “BUD” and less is more challenge where the challenge is to use a real object on the card.
There is small story with this card that I want to share. I told my card idea to my husband and our nine years old son, who liked the idea a lot. But when I started to make the card I realized that I didn’t have an ear bud at home. My son heard me saying that the CASology challenge is getting closed tomorrow and that I have to enter the card today. While I was wondering what I should do, my sweet little son appeared after 10 mins with two-three buds in hand for me. He had actually gone to our neighbor’s house n got me those. My God I was so happy. So this card is extra special to me.
Hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I loved playing along with the challenges.
I really love reading your feedback so please do leave your comments
Have a great day!
I always wanted to try this smooshing techniques (i don’t even know if its called that) with distress inks. I gave it a try today and oh what a fun thing it is to do. So simple yet such lovely results. I just used blue and yellow and loved how the green was formed in between.
I am entering this card to :
Casology – Juicy
Less is more – Tropical Fruit Colors
Addicted to stamps – Holidays
Addicted to CAS – one layer card
CAS on Sunday – Exotic
As always I loved playing along with the challenges.
