Thank you for joining me as I share a card that I made today!!
I first started by stamping and colouring the image of the monster. I added some wink of Stella shimmer on the colored image
Then I stuck post it tape on the card front and inked with the distress inks
I stamped the sentiment before adhering the image with foam tape.
I am playing along with a couple of challenges with this card:
The Clean And Simple look goes well with the theme of the month

As the past week just fluttered by, it’s time for us to fly to the next challenge at CASology. Got what i was hinting at?? Ok I may not be good at giving hints. So check out the cue card yourself. The Cue word for the Week # 286 is “Butterfly”.
I have always love butterflies and my mind went all over the place when i saw this cue word. I will keep it real and confess, I wanted to play with stamps, stencils and dies – everything butterfly related from my humble stash. I wanted to use inks, markers as well as water colors. Butterflies were flying all over my imagination, until i saw this stamp by Mudra Stamps with a quote. Once it was in my hand I just wanted to use it. Don’t you think this quote is beautiful like a butterfly.
To add interest to the stamped quote I die cut it using a butterfly die and then in laid the pieces back. I adhered the pieces with the butterfly die image with tiny foam squares for some dimension.
Like i mentioned the cue word has a million beautiful possibilities. Just remember to keep it CAS. Can’t wait to see your creative take on this cue word.
Do fly by and check out the awesome CAS cards that the talented design team members and our guest designer made to inspire you

When we think of Christmas the colors that pop into our minds are Red , Green and Gold – perfect complementary colors. Wouldn’t we love if we could achieve completely different styles and looks of cards with a single stamp set using these colors.
Today i am sharing Christmas cards using Ferns & Leaves stamp set by Mudra Stamps.
Card # 1
This one is for those who love inky fingers and burst of vibrant colors.
I inked the card base with shades of green distress oxide inks after masking the edges and sprinkled little water to lift a bit of the color. I then gold heat embossed images of Fern & Leaves stamp set by Mudra Stamps. I peeled the masking tape to reveal the crisp white border.
For the tag I took a smaller card stock and rounded off the corners before heat embossing the edges with silver. I then inked the tag with shades of red using distress oxide inks. The beautiful sentiment that i heat embossed with black is from penny black stamps. For added interest I fixed an eyelet before threading the twine through it and adhered gold sequins.
To finish the card i added the tag on the card with foam tape.
Card # 2
This clean and simple card is made with a dash of same Red , Green and Gold colors but in a completely different look.
I started out by stamping the leaf stamp from the same stampset in a circle with green distress oxide ink to form the Christmas wreath. to finish the wreath, i added enamel dots and a tiny bow made of twine. The sentiment in center of the circle is from penny black stamps and is heat embossed in gold. Before i adhered the panel to a gold card base, i added golden twine under the wreath.
hope you liked both the cards and would give it a try!
Here ‘s some exciting news to crafters all over the world
Made this Clean n simple card inspired by the movie Monsters.inc for the AAACard Challenge #101 – inspired by a film challenge and less is more #351 – Monsters challenge.
The ink splotches are my tribute to the month of Inktober!
To make this card i first stamped the cute monster image from Crazy Monsters Stampset by Mudra Stamps on copic friendly paper and ink to color with copic markers. After fussy cutting the colored image, i adhered a googly eye for dimension and added fun. Once the image was ready, I stenciled an ink splotch with distress ink after heat embossing the sentiment in black. Then all there was left to finish the card was to adhere my monster image on the card before mounting the panel on a black card base.
Thanks so much for dropping by and do let me know what you think about this one in the comments
Monster Hugs and Happy Inktober!
This is my first monster card and I loved making it along with my son.
I am Playing along with a couple of challenges with this card:
- The sketch is based on Freshly made Sketches Challenge #309
- The colors are based on cas color and sketch challenge #245
- The monster theme is inspired by the Less is more challenge #351
For this card we used the monster stampset by Mudra stamps. We first stamped our fav monsters on neenah solar white card stock with memento black ink and then colored those adorable monsters with copic markers.
The red one was colored by my son and the other two were colored by me. Then came the fun part of sticking the googly eyes on the monsters which adds so much interest. I used the image colored by my son to decorate my craft table (its a cute reminder of the fun we had together).
Then i took a white card stock and embossed it with an embossing folder. I also white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of navy card stock.
To finish the card i stuck all the elements in place using foam tape for dimension.
I had lots of fun creating this card, especially because i did it along with my son. Crafting with kids is always fun.
I am linking this card to other challenges as well:
Thanks so much for dropping by, hope you liked the card.
Have a great day
