Father’s Day with Tubby Craft

Hello There!

It’s Bharati here.  Father’s day is coming and here are a few ideas for the occasion

Book Marks

Picture1.png Picture2.png

To make these bookmarks I used the stamp by tubby crafts called “Book mark”. I just love this one.

For the first book mark i inked the cardstock with Tubby Craft inks called – Yellow, Tangy Orange, Light Pink, Raspberry and Violet. Then I stamped the sentiment and the tiny book image in Jet Black ink.

For the second book mark stenciled some scripty lettering in Tubby Craft ink called – Lead gray.  I also did a border with the same ink and then stamped the image of tiny book all over in Jet black ink and colored the images.

I added some twin to both the bookmarks after punching a hole.

I am sure these would be perfect gifts for the book & coffee loving dads. I know my dad will love these and remember when he is using these.

Father’s Day Card :

For this card,  I used the image from the stamp set called “Its a boy “ and the sentiment from “Special day Greetings” . First using the acrylic block by Tubby Craft I stamped the adorable shoes with Tubby Craft Jet Black Ink  on a white card stock and fussy cut them after coloring them with Zig real brush markers.

I then stamped the ‘Father’s Day’ sentiment repeatedly in shades of blue

I stamped the sentiment with Tubby Craft Dye inks –  Aqua Blue, Turquoise Blue,Sapphire Blue & Chinese Blue.

I added the colored image with foam tape and I matted the card panel with black card stock and then adhered it on a white card base.

Pattie’s creations Challenge -Wedding

Hello There!

Welcome to Pattie’s creations – June Challenge, which is a theme based monthly challenge starting on 1st friday of every month with many wonderful prizes and  showcases. The Theme for the month of June is “Wedding”!

Here’s my card

To make this card, i first colored the image of this gorgeous Wedding Cake with copic markers . I really enjoyed coloring the flowers on this cake.

I then stamped a banner and wrote the sentiment with hand. Then I fussy cut the both the images and colored the borders with a black marker.

For the background, I took a card stock and scored lines to form a pattern and then added glitter drops all over to form a colorful background. I then adhered the images with some foam tape. I really love the dimension and the pop of color on this card.

I finally, adhered the entire card front on a black card base such that a black border is formed around the white panel.

I really feel Pattie’s illustrations are simply wonderful and this image is one such example. Stop on over to Pattie’s ETSY Shop and have a look at her many images. Don’t forget to Check out our FREEBIE for this month… Here

CASology #345 Clam

Hi there!

Welcome to my post for the CASology challenge this week. The cue word is this week is “Calm”

I actually started crafting and card making to cope with my stress and still it is a great stress buster for me. Some times i have these bouts of mild depressions and the stigma attached to it makes it even more harder to share. Crafting and the amazing crafting community has really helped me immensely, for which i am forever grateful.

Here’s my take:

I first placed the stencil of Buddha slightly off set from the card front and then inked it with distress inks.

I then adhered the the sentiment strips

I hope my card inspires you to join us at CASology and gets you to crafting. Do  play along with us, just remember to keep it CAS. The following CAS guidelines should be of help when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Please check out the awesome CAS cards that the talented design team members and lovely guest designer made to inspire you:

Can’t wait to see your creative take on this cue word. Do let me know how you like this card by leaving me comments. I love to read them and i appreciate your time on my blog a lot.
