CASology #336 Ocean

Hi there!

Welcome to my post for the CASology challenge this week. The cue word this week is “Ocean”. Such an amazing cue word with a million possibilities… Ocean critters are one of my favorite category of stamps and there is such an abundance in stamps and variety in collection when it comes to ocean theme.

Week 336 - Ocean

Here’s my take:

For this card i wanted to contain the design in a die cut window to achieve the CAS look. I first die cut a widow in the card front. Then on a separate card stock i created ocean background with distress oxide inks and waves stencil by simon says stamp.

I stamped the sentiment in black and set this piece aside. Next I stamped the image of these adorable whales. This stamp is by lawn fawn and one of the oldest stamps that i own. I also created a die cut window front and inked with distress oxide inks to match the background. Finally i assembled all the elements and i used foam squares to add dimension while adhering.

I hope my card inspires you to join us at CASology and gets you to crafting. Do  play along with us, just remember to keep it CAS. The following CAS guidelines should be of help when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Please check out the awesome CAS cards that the talented design team members and lovely guest designer made to inspire you:

Can’t wait to see your creative take on this cue word. Do let me know how you like this card by leaving me comments. I love to read them and i appreciate your time on my blog a lot.

Happy Crafting !

Hugs

Bharati
