Floral cards with Tubby Craft

Hi there!

tubby

Today i shall be showcasing the inks by tubby crafts along with the some of the lovely floral stamps. Floral stamps are the best, simply because one can use them for all occasions , for all age groups and with lots of techniques. Don’t you agree?

I have to tell you, i have been using the dye inks by Tubby craft since November 2018 and i fallen in love with these. I love them as in addition to being great for stamping, these inks are doing great with heat embossing, coloring with my copic markers, ink blending, coloring with prisma color pencils and i am able to water color with these as well. I find myself reaching for these more and more for their multi functionality and vibrant colors. The color swatch on the side of the ink pads is super helpful.

CARD 1 : Water coloring with Tubby Craft Inks

wc.png

To make this card, i first stamped the images of these beautiful flowers from the “Wishes with Magnolia” stamp set using their acrylic stamping  blocks in jet black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The Tubby craft inks are so juicy they hold the embossing powder very well.

2.png

Once I stamped, I watercolored the images with dye inks by Tubby Craft. The colors is used are : Tangy Orange, Light Pink, Lemon Yellow and Lawn Green. You may gently apply the ink from the ink pad on to their acrylic blocks, add a little water and start water coloring using a brush. I also made a few splattered with the same inks once the coloring was done.

3.png

I then Stamped the Happy Birthday from Fancy Sentiment stamp set in lovely font in  jet black ink.  I added a few gem stones to finish the card.

Made this CAS card in minutes and made a whole bunch of these.

I stamped the layers of flowers using their acrylic stamping  blocks with the Tubby craft inks called Light Pink, Hot Pink and Raspberry and fussy cut the stamped image

7.png

I then stamped the image of the leaves using their acrylic stamping blocks in two different tubby craft inks called : Lawn Green and Emerald Green. The image of the leaves is from the same stamp set – “Camelia Layered Flower”.

I then Stamped the Thank you sentiment in a wonderful font and the butterfly from Fancy Sentiment stamp set in Tubby Craft inks called Aqua Blue and Sapphire Blue. I then adhered the fussy cut flower with a foam tape for dimension.

CARD 3 : Ghost stamping with Tubby Craft Inks

9.png

I loved  the leaf stamp from the “Camelia Layered Flower” stamp set that i had to use it again and repeatedly.

To make this card I first stamped the leaves repeatedly using their acrylic stamping blocks on white cardstock with Tubby craft inks called Lawn Green and Emerald Green. I also stamped it again repeatedly with a second generation of ink.

10.png

I added tiny flowers from the “Wishes with Magnolia” in variety of vibrant inks called Tangy Orange, Lemon Yellow and Raspberry pink. I cut the center out with a rectangle die, matted it and added it back in place with a piece of craft foam between. I then added a few embellishments, and a sentiment using their acrylic stamping blocks from the same “Camelia Layered Flower” stamp set.

The card design I used here was inspired by the talented Jennifer McGuire

CASOLOGY #329 TURN

Hello There!

Welcome back to the CASology challenge.  This week the cue word at CASology is Turn and there are so many ways to go with this word.

Week 329 - Turn.jpg

Here’s my take:

1

Making this card was really very easy once i had the idea. I colored the image of the books with copic markers. The stamp set and coordinating die set is called “our stories” by MFT Stamps.

2

I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and adhered the image with foam tape.

4

I am really happy with the CAS look of this card and i hope my card inspires you to join us at CASology and gets you to crafting. Do  play along with us, just remember to keep it CAS. The following CAS guidelines should be of help when creating your design:

  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

Next die cut a tag in white and adhered the peeking fox to one side of the tag and stamped the sentiment on the tag in blue to match with the color of the scarf the fox is wearing. I threaded the tag with white and blue twine to match the color of the stamping and the white background. I finally added a few hearts and adhere the tag on the card with foam tape for added dimension.

Masking is one of the best techniques to create a CAS card and to cluster images on a card. To make this card i used masking tape as well as masking paper, inks by tubby craft and stampset by CAS-ual Fridays.

bf6c5753-cb03-4d27-b259-086d2ccb361a

I first stamped the image in shades of pink using inks by Tubby craft and then masked it completely before stamping the image in shades of blue inks by Tubby Craft. I then masked both the images and used a masking tape before i inked the lower part of the card front.

Bookmarks n Crafting on the go!

Hello There!

Welcome to my blog. Do you like to craft on the go! Well i just love to. Creating with less supplies and on clock makes me more focused. Recently i was traveling and decided to experiment with watercolors.

Crafting on the go!

I ended up making these watercolor backgrounds on the move. Once i came home, i turned them into bookmarks for my son, hubby & sis-in law.

They all love to read. I wish i read as much as they do. “Read more” is always on my resolution list, right next to “eat less”. Lol!!

img_9259-e1546619439186.jpg

I punched the holes and threaded twine and to convert these tags with watercolor background into bookmarks, all I had to do was heat emboss in black these lovely and adorable images from the stamp set “Silly book monsters” by Your Next Stamp.

Hope you like these. do let me know what do you think about these and if you too love to craft on the go.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

Your Next Challenge – Anything goes.

IMG_6745.PNG

Happy New Year!

I am back with the next challenge theme at Pattie’s Creations Challenge, which is a theme based monthly challenge starting on 1st friday of every month with many wonderful prizes and  showcases.

The theme for January 2019 is  – “Snowy Days / Nights”

Here’s my card using the “Penguin Igloo ” .

In my last blog post I had introduced you to Pattieboop and her pet cat Allie. This time we meet penguin who is available in different scenes at Pattie’s creations.

For this card, I first Colored the adorable image of Penguin Igloo with copic markers and fussy cut it.

I then inked the background with distress inks and added white dots in various sizes with white pen. I had so much fun making this. Later i die cut some white card stock to form snow banks.

I then added some snow with the snow pen and heat set it. To finish the card i adhered the colored image to a black card base.

I hope my card inspires you to playing with us and share your lovely birthday cards. REMEMBER, if you use one of Pattie’s images you get an extra entry to the challenge… Just make sure to please give her the credit for the images. Have Fun!!!
