Hello there!

I am so glad you are joining me. Today i am playing with the “Pencil in” stampset by Waffl Flowers.  It’s a stampset with a lot of adorable images perfect for school cards.

I started by stamping all the images from the stamp set on to nenah solar white card stock (Copic friendly paper) with  memento tuxedo black ink (Copic friendly ink) and colored with copics (you may use any alcohol markers). I then fussy cut the images with a scissors.

                                

I then used the frame die set by My Favorite things and adhered it on to a white card stock with double layer of foam tape for added dimension. And then adhered all the colored images – some with liquid glue, few with single layer of foam tape and a few with double layer of foam tape to add interest in the card with varied dimension.

I also let a few of the images stick out of the frame a bit for more interest and fun. While coloring i tried to repeat the colors so that everything looks together.

I then matted the card panel on to a black card stock and adhered the matted panel to a white card base.

I had super fun making this card and am going to enter a couple of challenges.

Photo inspiration Challenge #455 at Just us girls– inspired by the “back to school” theme for my card, usage of kraft, white and black card stocks and the sentiment. inspired by the different sections in the photo i used this frame to divide my card into small sections.

Challenge #351 Back to school at The Paper Shelter – This challenge inspired the school theme and the sentiment of my card.

Challenge # 56 at Words 2 Craft By – School theme

“Will you succeed? You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4% guaranteed.) Kid, you’ll move mountains.”

These words inspired the school theme card with all the kids. This Dr. Seuss quote motivates and assures them of success in any field they choose. Inspires the kids to dream big.  Inspired by the quote i added various elements like black board, lab beakers, colors, scales, variety of books etc.. And symbolic to the kids moving mountains, i added the globe is such a way the it seems the kids are on top of the word.. Lol (atleast in my crazy mind) .

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 480 –  Back to School

“back to school” inspires the theme and look of my card. It also inspires the sentiment.
