Hello Everyone!
I am super thrilled and greatly honored to have joined the awesome Design Team at CASology Challenge. It is indeed a privilege to be working with the very talented card makers I adore. Very grateful to the lovely ladies at CASology for having me and for the warm welcome they have extended me.
The Cue word at for the Week # 285 is “SWOON” and here’s my first card as the Design Team member of CASology. It’s a one layer CAS card, perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I really adore the way these two little mice are looking into each other’s eyes, holding each other’s paws, with overwhelming love… I especially find the knotted tails very cute. I wanted to make a romantic scene on the card and hence opted for a moonlit sky as the background.
To make this card, after stamping the images of the mice & hearts, I covered them with masking fluid. I let the masking fluid dry completely before covering the card front with a masking paper that had a circular window to frame the mice. I then blended distress inks to form a moonlit night sky. Once the inking was done I peeled off the masking, added stars with white gel pen and white heat embossed the sentiment. To maintain the CAS look, I didn’t color the mice much.
I hope my card inspires you to play along with us at CASology Challenge and gets you creating cards for those who make you swoon. Can’t wait to see your wonderful cards in our gallery. Do visit CASology Challenge for more inspiration from the very creative Design Team and the guest designer who have beautiful cards to dazzle you. I encourage you to visit their blogs and leave them more love.
