Today I am sharing a card that is inspired by the mood board of Rainbow Crafty Kari challenge for this month
For this card I smooshed distress inks on a water color paper to create the background. While the background was drying, using copic friendly black ink I stamped the images from simonsaysstamp ‘cups and succulents’ set on a separate copic friendly paper. After coloring the images with copic markers and adding white highlights, I fussy cut them n stuck them on the background panel that was created earlier. I pasted the whole panel on a colored card base to finish the card.
Hope you like the card.
Did you ever wanted to cycle off to the Moon!
Well i did, a long time back when i saw this movie E.T. It was a super hit film and i am sure most of you must have seen it. The boy in movie, along with friend E.T (an extra terrestrial being) in the front basket, cycles and suddenly lifts off in the air and that scene was truly magical. As a kid i was filled with all kinds of wonder and wished i found a friend like E.T someday. For the next couple weeks (till the movie wore off its influence) though, i did cycle with my toys (a doll or a teddy) in the front basket. I cycled very fast and on slops and pretended i had found my E.T. and was flying with him. Oh! lovely childhood memories. Yup! I was and still am a bit crazy in a weird way, living in my own world and having fun.
So the card i am sharing has this scene inspired by the movie E.T, dedicated to dreamers everywhere with a spirit to fly.
I stamped and colored the images from Lawn Fawn – Bicycle built for you set and then used the coordinating dies to cut the images. I stuck the images together to built the scene on the cycle.
Then on a white card stock i stuck a circle masking paper before blending the distress inks. I then stenciled the modeling paste to get the look of a night sky. After the past was dry i peeled off the masking papers to reveal the moon. Then I stuck the boy on the cycle and all the other elements with foam squares. The sentiment from the same stamp set is embossed with white embossing powered on a black card stock.
I actually made this card for my nephew who is studying very hard for his exams and i wish him all the very best. I hope this card brings a smile on his face and helps him shoot for the stars!

Hi, Today i am sharing a card that i made on the go. I have always loved to craft/ color on the go. Helps me crave less for crafting time and the challenge to color or craft with limited supplies is fun! I especially like to color in a cafe. There is something about the combination of coloring and fresh brewed coffee that is wonderfully refreshing.. Also there are so many treats around to instantly reward myself for finishing a card or maybe even an image…. Lol
This one layer card was created on the go, in a cafe. I stamped the penny black ” Cupcake for you” stamp on water color card stock with versafine onyx black ink and colored it using Zig Real Brush Markers. I only colored the image and left the rest of the card very simple to achieve a CAS – One lay Card.
I am done with my card and as a reward – It’s time for Cake!

My son Ishu (short for Ishaan) was gifted a quilling kit for his birthday and that’s when it all began! Both of us got into quilling and since then we have enjoyed a lot of time together. Here ishaan is making a gift for his beloved grand parents.
I was really amazed at how confidently and independently he wanted to do this project all by him self. He had come to me and ask me to show him on a scrap paper how to stick the single strips and then he used the technique for the stems and the waves of water at the bottom.
Speaking of those waves, the lotus flowers were actually not part of his original project. While he was completing his design we had visited this place called “Kondakarla Ava” a lake full of lotus flowers. So Ishu incorporated those lotus flowers as well.
It is need less to say say how over the top happy my parents were to receive this handmade gift, we all know how loving grand parents are.
Have a nice day!
I have always admired Michelle Lupton’s cards. She does magic with rainbow colors and the simplicity of her cards is stunning.
CAS-ual Friday is having case a girl challenge and I wanted to let Michelle know how much I love her work by case-ing her card.
For my card I heat embossed with white embossing powder a backgound stamp from My Favorite Things on a water color card stock. I always love how Michelle uses rainbow colors and so I went for it. I absolutely love how she uses White space to balance the card and keep it simple. While case-ing her card, I learnt to do the same. Since my background panel already has more colors I decided to use white n black for the sentiment. To finish the card I used sequins just they way Michelle does.
I really enjoyed playing along with this challenge.
Have a nice day!
Today I am sharing a card that i created for my lil sister. She has been a constant support in my life and made it truly Magical!
For this card i first masked the borders of the die cut water color card stock and then using distress inks, inked the background. I added drops of water with a brush and lift the water with a tissue before i used a stencil and modelling paste for the stars. I then colored with copic markers and fussy cut the stamped images from MFT Magical Dragons stamp set. The sentiment is from the same stamp set which i heat embossed with white embossing powder on a black card stock strip. I poped the images and sentiment using foam squares. To finish the card i stuck some sequin and applied clear glitter on the sentiment panel. I really like the crisp borders that showed after the marking tape was peeled off.
Playing along with Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Stars with this card.
