Best Bud

Hello there!

Today I am sharing a card that I made using a makeup brush for ink blending. I normally struggle with soft ink blending n fading it to the white. But I really like the results with the makeup brushes and it is very easy as well. Also, these makeup brushes are very cheap compared to the clarity brushes that have been on my wish list since the first time I saw those.

I am playing along with two challenges with this card:

The CASology challenge the cue card is “BUD” and less is more challenge where the challenge is to use a real object on the card.

There is small story with this card that I want to share. I told my card idea to my husband and our nine years old son, who liked the idea a lot. But when I started to make the card I realized that I didn’t have an ear bud at home. My son heard me saying that the CASology challenge is getting closed tomorrow and that I have to enter the card today. While I was wondering what I should do, my sweet little son appeared after 10 mins with two-three buds in hand for me. He had actually gone to our neighbor’s house n got me those. My God I was so happy. So this card is extra special to me.

Hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I loved playing along with the challenges.

I really love reading your feedback so please do leave your comments

Have a great day!

CASonFriday Challenge – One Layer Card

Hello There!

I am really excited to share this card with you all, as this is my first card as a guest designer. I am very thankful to casonfriday for the opportunity. This card is for One Layer Card #115 Challenge at casonfriday. The challenge is to make a one layer card or one layer wonder as many people call it.

To make this card i used Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper and i think almost all of my distress inks.. Yup there are 18 inks on this one. lol!

img_20170728_082632.jpgI started with stamping the image of adorable elephant from MFT stamps and then masked it using the inkadinkado masking paper.

Then using Rays die from Gina Marie Designs and scrap card stock I made a stencil for inking the rays using distress inks.

Later i peeled off the masking paper from the image of that cute lil elephant i had stamped earlier and colored it using Zig Real Brush Markers. Then all that was left to do was to heat emboss the sentiment in black ink.

Well i really enjoyed making this card and playing along with One Layer Card #115 Challenge at casonfriday . Do play along with this fun challenge!

Hope you had fun reading this post. Thanks for visiting and I love to hear your feedback, so please leave me a comment!

Wishing you tons of Fun!

This card is completely inspired by the photo challenge #89 at the time out challenges and completely my husband’s idea. All i did was to execute it.

When we saw this Photo by the Time out challenge, the lamp, sofa, books and the world map caught our attention. Then we had this idea of making the world go around the lil gal reading a book.

I love making and gifting interactive cards so i just jumped into making this spinner card.

I also had fun using kraft card stock for the first time.

The best element in this card however, it the hand lettering on the sentiment. It is done by my hubby dearest.

So happy to be entering this one for the Time Out Challenge #89

Thanks for dropping by.

We love reading your feedback so please do leave your comments.

Have a great day!

One of the best things about participating in card making challenges is that all my craft stuff is getting my love and attention. I had had this stamp for quite sometime now and thanks to the card making challenges that i made using it.
